Edible plants
These are some plants that are good to eat.
Plantain (good also for bugbites and more)
Pine needles (they have lots of vitamin C!)
Dandelion (very bitter. Eat the whole plant. You can also fry the flower to make dandelion fritters.)
Blackberry (yummy, sweet)
Black birch (tastes like root beer! Chew on the twigs. Don't confuse with beach or other similar trees.)
Wild strawberry (yummy, sweet. Good for jam if you find enough.)
Wood sorrel (lemony, great for salads)
Burdock (make tea from the roots of the first year plants. Good with chicory tea)
Prunella (also called all-heal and self heal, cures flu and well, everything!)
Chicory (make tea with burdock (above))
Autumn olive (needs to be ripe or else very sour!)
Sumac (soak the red part in water... and tada!)
Elderberry (needs to be ripe or else... disgusting. Mash and put in baking for a cherry taste)
